Brightleaf

Pricing

A one-page website costs ₹12,000.

That is the whole answer. Almost no web designer in Chennai publishes a price, which makes comparing impossible and wastes everyone’s time on discovery calls.

Here is every number, what moves them, and what is deliberately not included.

What actually moves the price

In order of how much they matter.

Number of pages that need their own content
A page that exists only to hold three sentences should be a section, not a page. Price moves when a service has enough search demand and enough to say that it earns a page — usually 4 to 8 pages for a clinic with several treatments.
Whether the content exists yet
If your service list, prices and hours are written down, the build is fast. If they need to be worked out from scratch over WhatsApp, that is real time and it shows up in the quote.
Photography
Phone photos in daylight are free and usually fine. A photographer for a salon or clinic interior costs ₹5,000 to ₹15,000 in Chennai and is paid to them, not to this studio.
Booking systems
WhatsApp booking is included. A real calendar system with slots, reminders and payments starts around ₹15,000 extra and adds a monthly platform cost, so it is only worth it above a certain volume.
What does not move the price
Being in a hurry. Rush fees mostly punish clients for a studio's poor scheduling, so there is not one here — you get told a real date instead.

Context

Why quotes in Chennai range from ₹5,000 to ₹80,000

They are not the same product. Knowing which one you are being sold is most of the decision.

Typical priceWhat it usually isWhat to check before paying
₹3,000–8,000A bought template with your logo dropped in.Ask who owns the domain and whether you get the files. Ask what happens if you stop paying.
₹10,000–25,000A freelancer or small studio building something specific to you.Ask to see a live site they built and open it on your phone. Time how long it takes to appear.
₹40,000–80,000+An agency, with account managers and offices priced into it.Ask who is actually building it and whether you can talk to them directly.
₹0 + monthlyA “free website” on a builder platform, rented monthly.Ask what you keep when you leave. Usually nothing, and the monthly never ends.

Brightleaf Studio sits in the second band deliberately. The work is custom, the studio is one person in Kattupakkam, and there is no office rent priced into your quote.

Honest exclusions

What the price does not include

  • Your domain name — roughly ₹800–1,200 a year, paid to the registrar in your own name. Never registered in this studio’s name.
  • Paid advertising — Google or Meta ad spend is separate and this studio does not manage ad campaigns.
  • Logo and brand identity — a simple wordmark can be set, but a proper identity deserves a specialist.
  • Ongoing SEO work — the technical foundation is built in. Months of content and outreach is a different service, and this studio does not sell it as a retainer.
  • Professional photography — briefed and directed if you want it, but paid to the photographer.

Money questions

Answered plainly

How much does a website cost in Chennai?

A one-page website for a local business in Chennai costs ₹12,000 at Brightleaf Studio. A multi-page site runs ₹25,000 to ₹45,000 depending on how many pages need their own content. Both are one-time fees. Ongoing hosting and updates are ₹1,500 per month and optional.

Why do some Chennai web designers quote ₹5,000 and others quote ₹80,000?

A ₹5,000 quote is usually a template with your logo dropped in and no local SEO work. An ₹80,000 quote from an agency includes account managers and overheads. Brightleaf Studio sits between: a custom-built site by one designer in Kattupakkam, from ₹12,000, with no layers in between.

Do I have to pay monthly for a website?

No. At Brightleaf Studio the build is a one-time fee and the site is yours. The ₹1,500 per month care plan covers hosting, edits, uptime monitoring and Google Business Profile upkeep. If you skip it, you host the site yourself and the site keeps working.

What is included in the ₹12,000 one-page website?

The ₹12,000 one-page site from Brightleaf Studio includes design, copy layout, mobile-first build, a WhatsApp booking button, your service and price list, Google Maps location, Google Business Profile connection, security headers, and the source file handed to you. Hosting for the first year is included.

Are there any hidden costs after the website is built?

The domain name costs roughly ₹800 to ₹1,200 per year, paid directly to the registrar in your own name. Hosting is free on the plans Brightleaf Studio uses for one-page sites. There are no licence fees, no plugin subscriptions and no per-edit charges.

Do you take a deposit?

Brightleaf Studio takes 50% before starting and 50% when the site goes live. For a ₹12,000 one-page site that is ₹6,000 upfront. If the finished site is not what was agreed, the balance is not owed and the deposit is returned.
